About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Albertville, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine rounds across yards, dock areas, and access points, helping to discourage security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will complete reports, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer-focused support with integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in line with Allied Universal driver policy requirements, as you assist with mobile patrol coverage.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouses, loading docks, yard areas, parking areas and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound activity at key access points, assist with visitor and driver directions, and support basic access control as assigned by site post orders.
  • Complete routine documentation such as shift activity reports, incident reports and/or access logs, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnovers.
