About The Position

As a Security Officer - Security Operations Center Operator in Maiden, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Have 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology and media campus environment.
  • Operate the dispatch function by monitoring alarms, cameras, access control, and radio traffic, then prioritizing calls for service and coordinating officer response per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting actions taken and escalating notifications to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift activity documentation using required systems, including tracking keys, badges, and other site-issued assets.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, checking doors, gates, loading areas, and restricted locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
