About The Position

As a Security Officer - Site Patrol in Tallahassee, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, help to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive activity, and report observed hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal management and/or site representatives, and support patient and visitor flow during busy periods.
