As an Allied Universal Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will perform routine patrols of common areas and parking zones, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist guests and store teams with directions and concerns. Requirements

A guard card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, shoppers, tenants, and client representatives by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail mall location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, lost children reports, and property damage notifications.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout common areas, interior corridors, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Perform access control and observe visitor traffic at designated entrances, service corridors, and loading areas in accordance with post orders.
Monitor and operate security-related systems such as CCTV and alarm panels when assigned, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
Provide visible presence and customer assistance, including giving directions, helping reunite parties, and de-escalating conflicts when possible.
Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and promptly report hazards, suspicious activity, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
Support tenant and property management requests when appropriate, including escorts, after-hours checks, and coordination with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed.
Enforce site-specific rules and policies in a professional manner, including addressing loitering, unauthorized access, and prohibited behaviors in public areas.
Participate in required training, briefings, and post inspections, and follow Allied Universal and site-specific procedures for radio use, uniform standards, and confidentiality.
