As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy retail and entertainment location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist guests and team members with clear communication, respond to concerns, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience providing customer service is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail and entertainment areas, including parking lots, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity.
Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and/or public responders as needed.
Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, observe for suspicious behavior, and follow post orders for ID checks, bag checks, and/or visitor guidance as required by the location.
Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, document observations, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
