As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy retail and entertainment location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist guests and team members with clear communication, respond to concerns, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.20 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Tue 05:00 PM - 12:00 AM Fri 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM Sat 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail and entertainment areas, including parking lots, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and/or public responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, observe for suspicious behavior, and follow post orders for ID checks, bag checks, and/or visitor guidance as required by the location.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, document observations, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
