Job Description As a Security Officer - Shopping Center Patrol in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support guests and store teams with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific procedures and policies and/or supporting emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store management and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of mall common areas, retail storefronts, corridors, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and document unusual conditions such as loitering, disorderly conduct, and/or suspicious behavior according to post orders.
• Complete detailed reports for incidents, patrol activities, and observations, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
