Job Description As a Security Officer - Shopping Center Parking Patrol in Foothill Ranch, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and providing outstanding customer service at a bustling retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to various situations as needed. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises in a vehicle while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and care.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
This post primarily involves driving and is preferred for candidates interested in such roles.
The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall location, including business interiors and perimeters, to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and/or directing visitors as necessary.
Work collaboratively with tenants, staff, and/or law enforcement when required to address security-related concerns within the retail environment.
Document all incidents, observations, and activities in daily reports and/or electronic systems as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
