As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and/or packages, and conduct routine patrols to support a controlled environment. You will maintain a visible presence, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with team members and site personnel while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have security experience ‐ 6+ months.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client staff, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen personnel, bags, and/or packages at designated checkpoints using approved screening methods and equipment, and verify identification, badges, and/or access authorization as required.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound movement at gates, lobbies, docks, and staging areas, document arrivals and departures, and report irregular activity to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns, completing incident documentation, and supporting follow-up actions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, including warehouse, dock, and parking areas, as assigned by post orders and operational needs.
