As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage access points, screen visitors and drivers, and support security-related checks that keep operations moving smoothly. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage incidents, and provide clear, professional customer service. This is a driving post, and you will represent Allied Universal with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or contractors entering the distribution location by verifying identification, checking authorization to enter, and inspecting packages, bags, and/or personal items per posted requirements.
  • Control access at entrances and checkpoints by managing vehicle and pedestrian flow, coordinating with operations staff, and documenting entries, exits, and refusals per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, completing incident documentation, and supporting responding personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, watching for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations, and promptly reporting concerns.
