As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a fast-paced tech and communications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, report activity with clear communication, and deliver standout customer service to employees and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access control points and visitor workflows, including verifying identification and directing employees, contractors, and guests according to site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift handoff notes, and communicate relevant updates to the appropriate contacts.
