As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will support daily operations by controlling access, screening people and items, and documenting activity using site systems. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly with drivers, employees, and visitors, and help identify security-related concerns early. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct screening of employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers as required, including checking identification, verifying authorization, and inspecting bags, packages, and other items in accordance with post orders.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate logs and reports, and communicate screening results and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, noting irregular conditions and reporting issues that may help to deter unwanted activity.
