As an unarmed patrol officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents while remaining approachable and providing excellent customer service. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Document and report any unusual observations or incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
Assist shelter staff and visitors by addressing questions or concerns in a professional manner.
Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited activities within the shelter environment.
Remain alert to changes in the environment and communicate any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
