As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned shelter locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and routine patrols will help maintain a secure environment for all individuals on site. Requirements

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any irregularities.
Communicate professionally with staff, residents, and/or visitors to address questions and provide assistance as needed.
Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal policies and client site requirements.
Work collaboratively with shelter personnel and/or local authorities as needed during incidents or emergencies.
