As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at the shelter location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Document and report any security-related incidents or concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
Communicate professionally with shelter staff, residents, and visitors to support a secure and welcoming environment.
Follow all site-specific instructions and guidelines as provided by Allied Universal and site management.
