As a Screener, you will conduct security-related screening, observe activity, and communicate clearly to help reduce incidents while providing professional customer service. Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government facility entry point.
• Screen visitors, staff, and/or vendors by conducting bag checks, using walk-through and handheld screening equipment, and verifying identification and access authorization as required by post orders.
• Control access by managing entry and exit points, directing visitor flow, issuing visitor credentials when authorized, and communicating entry requirements in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including handling prohibited items per site procedures and notifying supervision and/or appropriate authorities.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and screening documentation, and communicate observations that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
