Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a government location where you will welcome visitors, manage access points, and conduct screening activities such as bag checks, magnetometer walkthroughs, and x-ray review as assigned. You will stay highly visible, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and guests to help identify prohibited items and reduce incidents. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and provide proof of diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen entrants at designated access points by checking identification and/or credentials, managing visitor logs, and directing authorized visitors to the proper areas.
  • Conduct security-related screening of persons and belongings using approved methods and equipment, including monitoring for prohibited items and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and requesting assistance from site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete timely documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and screening activity records, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and oncoming personnel.
