About The Position

As a Security Officer - Neighborhood Patrol in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will document activity, communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, and deliver service with integrity. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public resources as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, transit areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required by post orders, and document unusual activity.
  • Complete detailed written reports and logs, communicate key information during shift transitions, and support security-related investigations as directed by site leadership.
