About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech and communications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to alarms and service requests, and communicate clearly with onsite teams and visitors while delivering a welcoming customer experience. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout interior spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor check-in, deliveries, and badge and/or credential verification in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or client contacts per site requirements.
