Job Description As a Security Officer - Driver Route Patrol in Goleta, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor processes. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring strong communication and customer service as you work with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farms, utility zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, screening visitors and deliveries, issuing badges, and directing traffic flow per site requirements.
  • Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and shift turnovers using required systems, and communicate observed hazards and/or maintenance issues to site contacts per procedure.
