About The Position

As a Security Officer - Security Dispatcher in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Dispatch officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will coordinate security-related response and communications, track patrol activity, and help maintain smooth site operations. You will support access control and badge activity, document incidents, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

• Possess 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control requirements at an aerospace and defense location.
• Operate the dispatch function by monitoring radios, phones, alarms, and/or video systems; document activity and route calls for service to on-site personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate notifications and support emergency response activities per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including interior and exterior perimeters, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, issue visitor and contractor credentials as directed, and communicate post status updates to supervision and/or client representatives.
