Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol with Tablet in Fairfax, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist guests, tenants, and store teams with courteous communication. You will document observations and support response to concerns while representing Allied Universal with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in every interaction. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and shoppers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or lighting concerns.
• Monitor for suspicious or unusual activity, address minor issues with a calm, problem-solving approach, and request assistance from site management and/or public responders when needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, disturbances, and lost child or property reports per site instructions.
• Complete reports and logs for patrol observations, incidents, and customer interactions, and communicate key information during shift handoff to support continuity of security-related operations.
