As a Screener with Allied Universal at a correctional location, you will help monitor entry points, screen people and property, and support security-related procedures through clear communication and professionalism. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities in a calm and professional manner.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries entering and exiting the location using assigned equipment and established post orders.
Monitor access points and verify identification, authorization, and permitted items to help support orderly entry and help to deter prohibited activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around designated interior areas, entry points, and perimeter locations, as directed by site procedures and working conditions.
