Job Description As a Security Officer Screening Associate in West Palm Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a government location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and property, and support daily operations with strong communication and professional presence. In this role, you will help identify security-related concerns, provide courteous service, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that values integrity, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or personal property entering the location in accordance with established access and screening protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited item findings, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor entry points and assist with access control activities to help support authorized access and help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and the perimeter, as assigned, while remaining aware that working conditions may vary by location.
