About The Position

As a Security Officer - School Security Patrols in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report on activities and incidents, documenting relevant information as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and support a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and emergency responders as needed.
  • Support the enforcement of location policies and procedures, assisting with crowd management and/or traffic control as necessary.
  • Remain alert to surroundings and changing conditions to help to deter security-related incidents.
