About The Position

As a Security Officer - School Security Patrols in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report on activities and incidents, documenting relevant information as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and support a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and emergency responders as needed.
Support the enforcement of location policies and procedures, assisting with crowd management and/or traffic control as necessary.
Remain alert to surroundings and changing conditions to help to deter security-related incidents.
