About The Position

As a Security Officer - School Patrol Driving Role in Jersey City, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This is a driving post, so you will conduct patrols by vehicle and interact with staff, students, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and help to deter potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including evacuations or medical incidents, in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with campus personnel and local law enforcement as directed to address security-related concerns.
  • Remain visible and approachable to provide assistance and help to deter disruptive behavior within the educational environment.
