As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, athletic fields, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
Monitor access points during arrival, dismissal, and special events, assisting with visitor check-in, directing foot traffic, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts per site instructions.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, requesting support from school administrators and/or emergency services, and documenting actions taken.
Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
