About The Position

As a Security Officer - School Patrol Driver in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This role requires driving as part of your daily responsibilities. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the education environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure atmosphere.
Document observations and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents according to established protocols.
Communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors while upholding the standards of Allied Universal.
Assist with access control procedures and monitor entry points as required by site policies.
Support emergency preparedness drills and participate in response efforts as directed by site leadership.
