As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to resident questions with professional customer service. You will document observations, communicate clearly with teammates and site contacts, and support a welcoming environment by acting with integrity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout residential buildings, amenities, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, assist with visitor management as directed by site procedures, and help to de-escalate disturbances in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations, initiate notifications to property management and/or emergency services when needed, and provide clear directions to residents and guests during events.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, document patrol findings, and communicate observations and/or concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
