About The Position

As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol in The Dalles, OR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, server and equipment areas, loading and delivery zones, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems as assigned, report unusual conditions, and complete security-related logs, reports, and shift briefings.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, checking visitors and vendors in and/or out per policy, and directing individuals to the appropriate locations.
