About The Position

As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol in Elko, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through helpful customer service, clear reporting, and teamwork. Requirements

• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
• Control access to restricted areas by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and/or handoffs.
