Job Description As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support tenants and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and detailed reporting while partnering with your team. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related policies and/or emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and building perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, including verifying identification as required, issuing temporary credentials when applicable, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating timely updates to site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Complete detailed reports of daily activities, patrol findings, and incident response actions, and promptly notify supervision of hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
