As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol active logistics and distribution sites and chemical and petrochemical facilities, completing routine rounds, controlling access points, and documenting security-related activity. You will remain highly visible to help reduce incidents, respond to calls for service, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Guard Card and/or License is preferred.
  • Access Control and/or Badge Experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, loading docks, yard areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points such as vehicle gates and pedestrian entrances, assist with visitor and contractor check-in, and verify deliveries and pickups in accordance with site procedures.
  • Perform security-related inspections for unusual conditions in production and storage areas, report hazards and/or suspicious activity, and support evacuation or shelter procedures when directed.
