As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site personnel, document observations, and provide customer service while supporting an agile, reliable, and innovative team. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Guard Card or License is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report hazards and/or unusual activity per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, processing areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access by checking identification, verifying authorizations, managing visitor and contractor entry, and monitoring gates, doors, and/or dock areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete security-related documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as needed.
