Job Description As a Security Officer - Roving Driver Patrol in Secaucus, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license. You will engage employees and visitors with strong customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting, while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to on-site employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech and data-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns through required channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Control access at designated points by monitoring authorized entry, verifying identification and/or credentials as directed, and maintaining visitor and delivery logs when required.
• Monitor cameras and other security-related systems when assigned, communicate via radio and/or phone with site contacts, and complete shift reports and incident reports in a timely manner.
