About The Position

As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol Driver in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will complete routine vehicle patrols and visible checks, help to identify security-related concerns, and support access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy requirements. You will deliver customer service focused assistance, clear communication, and dependable teamwork while acting with integrity in a caring, agile, and innovative culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or Allied Universal management as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and/or potential policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying authorization where required, and directing visitors and contractors according to site procedures.
  • Complete routine reports and logs, communicate via radio and/or phone, and support site operations with security-related assistance as directed.
