Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by performing routine patrols throughout retail and mall locations. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will help create a welcoming environment for guests and tenants. You will communicate professionally, respond to incidents, and support a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity within the retail environment.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with crowd management and/or access control as needed during busy periods or special events at the location.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
