Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Full-Time in Piscataway, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer, where you'll help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere in a dynamic retail environment. You'll conduct routine patrols throughout the location, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
Support access control by monitoring entrances and exits and interacting with visitors as required.
Work collaboratively with store management, staff, and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment for customers and employees.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations as required by site protocols.
