Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Full-Time in Honolulu, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and tenants, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols within the retail or mall environment.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and providing directions or information to visitors as needed.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal and site management to address security-related concerns and support a welcoming atmosphere for customers and staff.
- Document incidents and daily activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
