As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and mobile rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist customers with a professional presence. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under the AU Driver Policy. You will communicate clearly, document activity, and support a caring team that acts with integrity while staying agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, and emergency alarms, and notify site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and policy violations, help to deter theft and/or disorderly conduct through high-visibility presence, and support loss prevention and store management with security-related observations.
• Complete routine documentation such as daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate security-related information to supervisors and site representatives.
