As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will be a friendly point of contact for shoppers and store teams, using strong communication and customer service to respond to concerns, document activity, and support a positive experience. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
This is a primarily driving post.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances and exits, back-of-house areas and the parking lot and perimeter.
Help to deter theft, trespassing and other unwanted activity by maintaining a visible presence and addressing suspicious behavior in accordance with post orders.
Monitor CCTV and alarm systems when assigned, reporting unusual activity and escalating concerns per site procedures.
Control access at entrances, employee areas and receiving areas by verifying authorization and directing visitors, vendors and deliveries to the appropriate locations.
Assist with customer and employee concerns such as lost and found, escorts and de-escalation, while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
Document patrols, incidents and service calls in daily activity reports and/or electronic reporting systems, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Coordinate with store leadership and local emergency responders during emergencies and disruptive incidents, following established response guidelines.
Perform opening and closing checks as assigned, including door checks, lighting checks and securing restricted areas.
