As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Schenectady, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors. Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the retail location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive environment for customers and staff.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail store and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or behaviors.
Observe and report any irregularities or suspicious activities to the appropriate personnel in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with access control measures, monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific guidelines.
Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and interacting professionally with store guests and/or employees.
Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal leadership to address security-related concerns and/or incidents as needed.
