As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering standout customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle to support patrol coverage and respond to calls for service across the property. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disorderly conduct, suspected shoplifting, and disruptive behavior while following post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, stock areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, maintenance issues, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and key areas for suspicious activity, assist with closing and opening routines as assigned, and support loss prevention efforts through visible presence and observation.
• Complete detailed reports on shift activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate with store leadership, Allied Universal supervisors, and local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
