Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Poughkeepsie, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer, where you'll help to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail and mall environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible throughout the location, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or property damage within the location to the appropriate personnel.
Assist in controlling access points and monitor entry and exit of individuals to help to deter unauthorized access.
Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management, client representatives, and local authorities as needed.
Support emergency response efforts, including assisting with evacuations or other procedures as directed by site-specific protocols.
