Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Front Desk in McLean, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a premier retail location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere while monitoring access and assisting with security-related matters. Your role involves greeting guests, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and employees in a professional manner at the front desk, providing assistance as needed.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials for entry.
• Assist with security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help protect people, property, and assets.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding security-related matters and incidents.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the proper authorities and/or management.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by established protocols for the location.
