Security Officer - Front Desk
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate office front desk, where you will greet tenants and visitors, verify access, manage badges and keys, monitor cameras and alarm panels, and document incidents and service requests. Requirements
- Have 6+ months of security-related experience.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, employees, vendors, and visitors at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor lobby activity and building access by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or badging, coordinating with tenant contacts, and maintaining visitor and key control logs.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as phones, intercoms, cameras, and alarm panels, escalating concerns to property management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and completing required reports in a timely manner.
- Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior through a consistent front desk presence, clear communication, and adherence to post orders.
