As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming customer experience. You will respond to concerns, communicate clearly with store teams and visitors, and document activities as needed. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests in a retail and mall location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, common areas, service corridors, loading dock areas, and perimeter to help to deter loitering, theft, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances and high-traffic areas, provide directions and assistance to shoppers and tenants, and report maintenance or facility concerns per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical situations, and/or evacuation activities as directed by site policy.
  • Complete reports and logs, document incidents and observations accurately, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
