As a Security Officer - Retail Center Patrol - Full Time in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail or mall location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and/or addressing unauthorized individuals as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and client personnel to address security-related concerns and support daily operations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by site procedures.
