Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Center Patrol Driver in Santa Fe Springs, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide an exceptional experience for visitors and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You'll play a key role in maintaining a welcoming environment, demonstrating our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork while acting with integrity and putting people first.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies at the retail location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
- Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual behavior, to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist customers, employees, and visitors by providing information and guidance as requested.
- Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols and instructions from Allied Universal or site management.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout assigned areas to help to deter theft and unauthorized activities within the retail location.
