As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with visitors, deliver outstanding customer service, and respond to situations as they arise. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the area by vehicle. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the retail or mall location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or irregularities to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and directing visitors as needed within the retail or mall environment.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activities within the location.
Document and communicate all relevant information regarding security-related incidents and activities during each shift.
