As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. This driving and armed post involves regular patrols, responding to incidents, and offering outstanding customer service. Requirements

Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
Have an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Hold a Level III armed certification if applying for positions in Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor for suspicious behavior or activities and report findings according to established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activities within the retail environment.
Interact with customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner while addressing security-related concerns.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific procedures regarding the handling and carrying of firearms in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
